Every time we hear this song we cannot help but thing of New Year's. We remember the year that has passed. The loved ones we have lost and the friends that we have made. Moments bittersweet that embrace our souls and joyous occasions that lift our spirits. All these things that create the events that make our lives...our memories.This year I had lost many precious family members, my beloved grandmother being one of them. I shall miss her because I do not feel that I was ever able to spend enough time with her. I know she is in a good place and no longer suffering and for that I am grateful.
I also met an amazing person who is now a very good friend that feels as if she has been a part of my life for years and that she will always be around. She has the best advice and is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. She is my sistah from another mishah... :)
I know many dear friends have fallen on bad times, financially and physically. I hope that this year brings them all a bit of happiness and peace. Everyone deserves that. So let me raise that cup of kindess yet for auld lang syne.
