My Favorite Songs

I was in an opera mood today and went back to this video, that I love. Unfortunately this song is not available for me to put on my ipod, but I can enjoy it on youtube. I hope that you can enjoy it also. Every time I hear her rendition of this amazing song I get the chills. BRAVO, BRAVISSIMA!!!

When I finished that wonderful piece I went to my another favorite song that truly leaves me breathless.

BROKEN, by Daniel Clay book giveaway!!

Interested in a great read? Then head on over to the Peeking Between the Pages blog and enter the contest to win this book BROKEN by Daniel Clay .
Here is a bit of the book that is sure to get your attention:
Until that fateful afternoon, Skunk Cunningham had been a normal little girl, playing on the curb in front of her house. Rick Buckley had been a normal geeky teenager, hosing off his brand-new car. Bob Oswald had been a normal sociopathic single father of five slutty daughters, charging furiously down the sidewalk. Then Bob was beating Rick to a bloody pulp, right there in the Buckleys' driveway, and life on Drummond Square was never the same again.

Win a copy of Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I found this blurb on my friend Christine's blog and it intriged me to go and check out Cheryl Rainfield's blog and read her review of this amazing book. I was instantly hooked and new that I had to get my hands on it soon.
I love to read YA books. At first, I would read them to screen them out for my godchild whom is 13. Now, I think I read them for myself as much as for her. LOL!
I went to the author's site and here is the book blurb that she has posted:
Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When her sister is chosen by lottery, Katniss steps up to go in her place.
WOW!!! now tell me how could you not want to read this book. If your interested in entering the contest just go to her website and comment on her blog and you'll be entered to win. If you decided to post it on your blog than that will get you another entry. Good Luck...LET THE GAMES BEGIN...

IT SUCKS TO BE ME!! Online Book Launch Par-tay

Helllo-di-lo and boooooooooo on Sunday evening. I just wish it was Friday *sigh*and have fun. Well, even though it is not Friday we can still have a Party...or Book Launch Par-tay as Kimberly Pauly YA author of SUCKS TO BE ME is having on her website. Just boogie on over and join her and many other exciting authors while they proceed to chat and give way some amazing goodies.
Synopsis:
Mina Hamilton's parents want her dead. (Or undead to be precise.) They're vampires, and like it or not, Mina must decide whether to become a vampire herself. But Mina's more interested in hanging out with best friend Serena and trying to catch the eye of the too-hot-for-high-school Nathan Able than in the vampire training classes she's being forced to take. How's a girl supposed to find the perfect prom date and pass third-year French when her mom and dad are breathing down her neck--literally?
Now with information like that, how can you NOT want to sink you teeth into this book.

Twilight, The Parody Trailer

Ok...I have decided to post a video of amusement for weekly enjoyment and merriment. This week has been a difficult one. Many sad events have occured within the past few days and I needed a little pick me up. After much searching (on you tube), I have come to the conclusion that a bit of laughter can help a craptastic week become a little more tolerable. As with my love of Twilight I wanted to include this video that had me laughing so much that I literally had tears streaming down my face. I am not sure if it is really that funny or that I have been emotionally tapped out and am delerious. Enjoy and let me know what ya think.
Ok...now I was thinking, what if someone has not seen the trailers??? Hahahahahaha... now that was funny. Then you would probably have been away from all media outlets (most likely stuck on a secluded island with Henry Cavill and whoops!! we forgot all our clothes...ok ok I admit that is my sick puppy fantasy. Now back to the program) for it is friggin' everywhere, but just in case. I wanted to include the actual trailers that this parody video was based on.

Teaser Trailer #2

Yup, I cannot wait for this movie.
