I love to visit cemeteries. Many don't understand my fascination to visit them, but that is ok. To each his own. Although I do have a few sistah's from another mistah, (one in particular that could totally be my goto cemetery buddy for life...aka CBFL, u know who u are), that totally indulge me in my hobby. I find it to be a place of beauty and ugliness, quiet tranquility and screaming emotions. A place to visit during my life ON earth, but not somewhere I ever want to stay...does that make sense? Probably not, but when do I make sense? It was a gorgeous day and I could not resist stopping by and paying homage to my favorite spots. These pictures are some of my favorites spots that have caused me to stop and admire them

Ohhhhhhhhhh my Sistah! TRUE....
They are beautimus!
LOL your CBFL
Hey there sistah!!! We have to check out those cemeteries in Orlando and take a day off to check it out. Hmmm....I wish I had more time in Pittsburgh, but maybe another time. :)
My favorite is the cherub (angel?) sucking her two middle fingers. My niece does the exact same thing! Love all the pics!
That Cherub picture was taken at the Allegheny cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA. I almost missed it, because I had NO idea how big that cemetery was and OMG was I surprised. At the last half hour that I was there I was literally running around trying to absorb it all and then I saw her and I had to stop. It is one of my favorites. I will always remember it.
Those are simply gorgeous photos. Really beautiful.
Do you know that it was a year ago that you were here visiting? Where did the year go? :(
Oh Christine, I was just thinking of that today. We had so much visiting. I will always remember New York. I was beyond happy that you came to spend the day with me and my friends. It was the highlight of my trip. I keep going back to "Strawberry Fields" and our trek to find it. LOL! Good Times with a great friend.
I have also remembered that it was 8 years ago that I was diagnosed with my cancer. Wow! So much has happened that I don't even recognize myself anymore. If someone would have told me that I would be in this place of my life and living it as I am...I would not believe them. The fact that we as humans have the opportunity to change the direction of our path and grab hold of life and find people that will enrich our lives. Well it is sometimes too beautiful to put into words.
Thank you for enriching my life
Nancy
What a beautiful sentiment. I am honored to be one of those people who have enriched your life, as you have mine, too. Lots of love to you, my friend.
